Back in the States

Posted by Jonathan Wise on Feb 13, 2007

We’re back and still reeling from the weekend, so even though I have pictures and memories to post, those will have to wait for later — maybe sometime during tomorrow’s predicted giant snow storm.

Until then, I found a pretty interesting article on Digg. The original source is down from too many hits, but this excerpt is pretty illuminating…

The Iraq war will cost Americans $145 billion dollars this year alone. That $145 billion could buy free tuition, room, and board for every student in a public university or college, and there would still be enough money left over to end hunger in America four times over.

That’s an obscene waste of financial capital. Mr Obama, bring these soldiers home!
