It’s a good day for Mac users who need Windows…

Apple has released BootCamp 1.3, with improved drivers for the keyboard (finally, the backlight will work in Windows) and the graphics card.

And not to be left behind, Parallels has released 3.0 of their butt-kicking Parallels Desktop for Mac software, bring improved integration between the two OSes, snapshots (a feature they sorely needed), and 3D acceleration within the virtualized PC! These are all great features, but I’m think I’ll have to take a pass on this release, cause I just paid $80 for their previous version — besides my 100GB hard drive is too full to load any decent games anyway.

Going back the other way, my buddy Adam Preston has worked out a very righteous hack. He turned a middling TabletPC into a Mac — complete with OS X 10.4.9, full pen support, WiFi drivers and Quartz Extreme graphics. I hope someone at Apple is taking notes, because I’d love to have a Mac Tablet…
